North Nashville Public Listening Session

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Mayor John Cooper’s Office says it’s hosting a series of listening sessions to get the community’s input on Metro’s transportation planning.

The 11 listening sessions are scheduled for January and February 2020. Davidson County residents can voice their ideas and concerns about the city’s transit and transportation situation.

“The right transportation system is critical for our community,” said Mayor John Cooper. “It will get you to school, to work, to your doctor’s office, and back home. With Nashville’s recent growth, we’re facing new transportation challenges that we must address with intention, transparency, and full participation from residents throughout Davidson County.”

Listening sessions with Metro Council members began in November. The Mayor’s Office says it will issue initial recommendations in late spring of 2020. They’ll release a full transportation plan by the end of September, in “keeping with Mayor Cooper’s pledge to have a new plan by the end of his first year in office.”
