Please join us for a 3-conversation series on Race & Ethnicity taking place over on July 16th, 23rd, & 30th from 2:00 - 3:30pm ET / 11:00 am - 12:30 pm PT

View this short 4-minute video (https://youtu.be/l1JPlqOeSBs) from a previous Race & Ethnicity Conversation Series to get a taste of this conversation!

In this series of three in-depth conversations, participants explore the complexities of the concepts of Race, Ethnicity, and their impacts on people from all walks of life.

We will cover questions from the three Race & Ethnicity conversation guides found here (https://www.livingroomconversations.org/race-and-ethnicity-conversation-series/). Some of these questions include:

- What qualifications do you use to determine a person’s race?

- Were conversations about race a part of your upbringing? If so, how was the subject approached? How did people around you talk about other races?

- Have you ever claimed an ethnicity that wasn’t yours or that wasn’t visibly yours in order to “pass,” or have privilege?

- How have race and ethnicity functioned differently in your life, if they have?

Can I join just one conversation?

It is highly recommended that you join all three with the same cohort of people in each conversation, although you can miss the first conversation (July 16th) if necessary and still attend the second two (July 23 & 30).

How do I join the conversation?

When you register for the event by reserving a free or donation-based ticket, you will receive a confirmation email. After that you will receive an email the day before each conversation with a Zoom link to join as well as a reminder email 1-hour before the conversation begins. You will need a device with a webcam to participate (preferably a computer or tablet rather than a cell phone). More on using Zoom is in this one-minute videohttps://youtu.be/vFhAEoCF7jg
