Conversations Heroes

Common Ground Committee is about “Bringing Light Not Heat To Public Discourse.” We are free of political agenda and financial influences, with a singular focus on demonstrating productive public discourse. Our mission is to pursue initiatives which reveal common ground for finding truth, clarity, understanding and progress on issues of importance in a civil manner that does not require compromise of fundamental principles.
Listen_First_Logo.png Listen First Project encourages conversations that prioritize understanding to bridge divides and mend our frayed social fabric. We catalyze the #ListenFirst movement powered by more than 100 partner organizations, thousands of individuals, and local chapters coast to coast and around the world. LFP engages in schools, communities, and businesses while recognizing those who champion the Listen First mission.
Promoting critical thinking, education, and informed citizenship by presenting controversial issues in a straightforward, nonpartisan, primarily pro-con format.

Conversation Champions

Living Room Conversations are a conversational bridge across issues that divide and separate us. They provide an easy structure for engaging in friendly yet meaningful conversation with those with whom we may not agree. These conversations increase understanding, reveal common ground, and sometimes even allow us to discuss possible solutions.
